Hey! I’m Nuci, the brains and hands behind Nuci Games, my little video game studio. Well, little, but with big ambitions! If I had to sum up my journey, I’d say I’ve got gaming hours running through my veins and a passion for the supernatural that’s never left me. Let me tell you how it all started and how I went from a hardcore gamer to a game creator.

From the Amstrad CPC 464 to the Meta Quest 3: A Gamer’s Life

It all began in my childhood with my trusty Amstrad CPC 464. Back then, you needed the patience of a saint to load a game—those cassettes spinning for ages, that screeching noise, sound familiar? Then came Sega’s Master System 2, which kept me hooked for years. I was Team Sega all the way: the Mega Drive and Sonic defined my teenage years. Later, I switched to PC gaming and never stopped exploring: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and even virtual reality with the Meta Quest 2 and 3. Every platform brought its share of emotions, frustrations, and unforgettable moments.

But if there’s one game that truly kidnapped me, it’s World of Warcraft. Big thanks to Activision Blizzard (Blizzard Entertainment back in the day) for the ten years I spent roaming Azeroth instead of soaking up the sun in southeast France! For the Alliance, always! Those thousands of hours shaped me and, in a way, prepared me for what I’m doing now.

Phasmophobia: The Turning Point

Then came Phasmophobia. 2000 hours. Yep, you read that right. This ghost-hunting game completely sucked me in, and I loved sharing it with you all on Twitch streams. It was early 2022 when the idea hit me: why not create my own ghost-hunting game? Something that would reflect my tastes, my sensibilities, and that supernatural passion that’s been with me forever.

The Supernatural, My Muse

Because, yeah, the supernatural is my thing. Shows and movies like Supernatural and Vampire Diaries left a permanent mark on me. The Winchester brothers, vampires, werewolves—I’m all in! That dark vibe, those badass heroes, those spine-chilling creatures… You’ll find all of that in my games. In This is a Ghost, we hunt demons, spirits, and other monsters with shotguns, with that raw intensity I love. In The Cursed Legacy, there are even nods to Supernatural woven into the paranormal investigations. And with Hunt Me, I keep exploring this universe with a paranormal hunt that gets my blood pumping.

Nuci Games: Just Me… and Freya

Nuci Games is a bit of an oddball studio. It’s just two of us: me and Freya, my cat. She spends her days giving me weird looks, especially when I’m raging :x—whether I’m gaming or coding a new feature that just won’t cooperate. Yep, I’m the only one at the helm. It’s a huge challenge, but also incredible freedom. Every bug fixed, every player who tells me they loved my horror games, that’s a win.

What’s Next?

Making games is my way of paying tribute to everything that’s inspired me: the hours spent with a controller in hand, the sleepless nights in front of a screen, the series that made me dream.
