Ouija: My Paranormal Thrills

My First Ouija Experiences

I discovered the Ouija board years ago, fascinated by its promises of contact with the paranormal. My first Ouija sessions were makeshift: a turned glass in the center of the table, surrounded by Scrabble letters arranged in a circle. We lightly touched the glass with our fingertips, waiting for it to slide toward an answer. The first words, hesitant, seemed absurd, but the atmosphere quickly became heavy, almost surreal.

Ten Memorable Experiences

Over time, I tested the Ouija about ten times. Some Ouija sessions sent chills down my spine: one evening, the glass spelled out “who are you” without us asking. Another time, it pointed to “cold” as the room seemed to cool down. I still remember the sound of the glass moving across the old oak table in the living room, a dull scraping that heightened the unease. These supernatural mysteries remain etched in my memory, despite my doubts.

Rationality and Doubts

Even after these moments, I remain skeptical. The ideomotor effect often explains the movements: our fingers, unconsciously, guide the glass. Yet, I cannot deny the strangeness of some answers, too precise to be coincidental. The Ouija in the paranormal plays with our fears and expectations, a disturbing mix that I enjoy dissecting without giving in.

Ouija in Video Games

I chose to integrate the Ouija board into This is a Ghost for greater immersion. It allows players to gather key clues: the entity’s identity, its date of death, its location, or what it seeks. It’s a true tool for paranormal investigation, but it must be used strategically. A poorly worded question, and the entity grows angry, making the atmosphere even heavier.
